Make yourself at home.

Easter House is more than just a place to stay the night – it's your home base for relaxation or exploration.  We offer plenty of nooks and crannies to hide out and read or watch the world go by.  Or, if you want to be more active, time your visit to take advantage of one of our events, like a writing workshop, a cooking class or a card night.

Dining Room

The dining room is where you'll come for a nourishing, home-cooked breakfast, made with organic milk, eggs, cheese and pork sourced from local farms.  The large built-in cabinet on the eastern wall used to be a pass-through into a former pantry.  The pass-through went from asset to liability when a former owner converted the pantry into a bathroom.   Our renovation of the bathroom took care of that problem by sealing up the bathroom side.

Library

This bright room is a perfect place to read a book, play a board game or work on your laptop using our free WiFi.  We've got backgammon, a cool game called Trumpet and plenty of poker chips if you want Mark to lead you in a round of Texas Hold 'Em.  Feel free to leaf through one of our books or vintage Newsweek, Time and Sports Illustrated magazines.

Den

The centerpiece of this room is the fireplace. Enjoy a drink by the fire, or settle down for a good read in a comfy chair.  There's also access from this room to the front and back porches. The den is also the place where you'll check in and out.

Porches

Rock away your cares on our front porch, or try to spot a hummingbird at the bird feeder in the back yard from your perch on our porch swing. Those wise Victorians made sure to make wrap-around porches an essential architectural feature of Queen Anne design.

Parlor

In Victorian times, the parlor was the place to entertain guests and exchange news.  In these times, it's the TV room!  You're welcome to watch television or borrow one of our many DVDs to view on your laptop
